If you are looking to guestpost, here are some general tips and guidelines:
- Don’t flatter. It irritates people. (Well me anyway.)
- Give samples of your work and a link to your main blog. Don’t make the webmaster have to try to hunt for your work. If we don’t know who you are or how you write, you are wasting your time.
- Give ideas for possible guest posts based on what they or their readers need. For example on this site where I’m trying to promote music lessons: “Tips for buying your first guitar”, or “Can an adult really learn to play the guitar?” Both great guestposts.
- Please call them by name (Josh Taylor), not webmaster or similar titles.
- Don’t spam. Write to each blogger individually as if you’re talking to another human being.
